How it started...

Let me give you a little back story before I became a Lash Artist & Trainer! Some would say I was brave or even stupid but I would say I was young and just going for it. So I moved from a small town to a big city(London) with only knowing one person. This was to pursue a career in Fashion, as a Fashion Merchandiser. I stayed in the Fashion industry for 10 years, before I felt like I needed a change. Having a creative flair I was always interested in the Beauty industry, but was never sure on where or what I wanted to get into. So in 2015 I decided to get my own lashes done before I was going on holiday and I don't know if I had a light bulb moment but I loved them that much I booked a lash course that week. I was still working full time as a Fashion Merchandiser while trying to practice lashing and build up my clientele, that was hard work and a lot of determination. Then after a year of trying to balance both jobs I made a decision, now this sounds like madness when I even say it myself but I gave up full time employment to pursue my lash career. The reason it is mad is I only had a handful of regular clients(some are still my clients to this day), but it just meant I could offer more availability to new clients to start building a business. Let my lash journey begin!I set my lash business up in my living room in my little flat in North London. Handing out flyers and advertising on the only two platforms they had back then which was gumtree and treatwell to try and build up my clientele. It took time and a lot of hard work, working all hours and lashing until late at nights and weekends. Now with a healthy amount of clients I decided to move my business to a local salon, where I was
able to work from a rented space. This gave me more exposure and created more clientele. My business was rapidly growing and in the right direction, so I wanted to be able to share my passion and business knowledge to others so I decided to get my teaching qualification. Still in North London I decided to move my business into a bigger premises as I knew I needed more space to be able to teach. Which I did teaching lots of students and still lashing my loyal clients. My business was growing from strength to strength with lots of plans in place. In December 2019 I found out I was going to be a mum for the first time, which was the best news EVER! so I quickly went to work on building up a relationship with another lash artist who could run my business when it was time for me to go on maternity leave. What I/we didn't know there was a pandemic that was just about to hit.
END OF A CHAPTER
Having to make some tough decisions, I had to close my business in North London in May 2020. Closing my business that I had worked so hard for gone just like that. It's a day I will never forget!
